MeetUp: Hops Around Town Bottle Share Event
Time & Location
About the Event
For our February MeetUp, we are going to do something a little bit different from our normal visit to a local brewery.
Instead, we will be having a "bottle share event" hosted by church members, Tom and Jane Klecker, who have their own backyard beer garden (their backyard is listed as Elmstone Brewery on the popular "Untappd" app).
Also, we are going to move the date/time from our usual third Saturday of the month to February 22 at 3:00 p.m.in order to give people time to head over to the Chatham Rabbits concert at SMPC, which starts at 6:30 p.m. We highly encourage you all to attend the concert. They are an awesome group!
With Hops Around Town being the same day as the concert, hosted by the church, we wanted to find somewhere close by so that people would have the opportunity to attend both events. Tom and Jane were gracious enough to offer their unique backyard set-up for this Hops event and had the great idea for a "bottle share".
The idea behind the "bottle share" is that every person (or couple) would bring either two 32 oz crowlers , a 4-pack of 16 oz beers, or a 6-pack of 12 oz beers to share with the group (no one will turn you away if you bring a growler). In keeping with the theme of our Hops group, I would encourage you to bring a local Charlotte (or surrounding area) beer. I am also encouraging everyone to bring an appetizer/bar food item to share with the group, so that people can enjoy a light snack if they don't have time to grab dinner before heading to the concert at church.
The Klecker's have graciously agreed to provide plates, napkins, and tasting cups.
Please RSVP by Monday, February 17 on the link below. Please list what beers/appetizers you are bringing.
Your sign-up confirmation will include the Klecker's address.
