Welcome Team

Our Welcome Team members are often the first point of contact for those attending our worship services and special events.  Friendly faces are always welcome to serve!

In addition to assisting worshipers with finding a seat, our Ushers help visitors navigate our campus, answer any questions you may have, and receive the offering during the worship service.

Coffee Grounds

Coffee and pastry are available on Sundays before each worship service in our Coffee Grounds.  Join this team that prepares a warm welcome for everyone!

Lemonade on the Lawn

Lemonade and cookies are available on Sundays after the 10:10 a.m. worship service.  Join this team that prepares a sweet fellowship opportunity for everyone!

Congregational Care Opportunities


Baby Ministry

Our Baby Ministry supports families with new additions. A team delivers meals, installs an announcement sign and more.

Bereavement Meals

A team provides receptions following memorial services and funerals, including set-up, clean-up, beverages and food.

Hospitality Ministry

Meal Ministry

 A team of SMPC volunteers offers support by providing a meal for those who have experienced a death in the family, hospitalization or other crisis.

Prayer Chain

If you have a prayer request that you would like to share, or if you would simply like to become a part of the Prayer Chain, please contact us. Your requests are prayed for faithfully and confidentially.

Property Ministry

Are you handy with tools?  Do you have a green thumb?  The Property Ministry welcomes you to lend a hand on our Campus Beautification Days.  Seasonally, we gather at the church on a Saturday morning to spruce up our spaces and add lovely plantings.

SMPC has a team of volunteer drivers ready to serve those who need a ride to worship or church activities, doctor's appointments or the grocery store.

Home Assistance Ministry

The Home Assistance Ministry helps SMPC members of the congregation who are unable to perform basic home
maintenance with non-hazardous chores. (Example: hanging pictures/

drapes; changing lightbulbs; replacing toilet flappers or A/C filters.)
