SMPC provides families and individuals with special needs within our church and local community a welcoming place to gather, connect and grow their faith by offering a monthly worship service to begin in the fall called Common Ground.
ALL ages gather in circles in Mecklenburg Hall to practice creative ways to dig into the Bible, practice talking about our faith with one another, and practice ways we can continue learning about our faith throughout the week while implementing the Faith Five approach.
Our 3- and 4-year-olds gather in Mecklenburg Hall, but once our gathering time is over, they head to a separate room with two adults for the remainder of the hour to experience the story tailored just for them. They will also enjoy participation in the Cherub Choir during this time.
SMPC is home to some of the strongest Scouting programs in North Carolina. Opportunities are available for young people of all ages, from kindergarten (Daisy Girl Scouts) or 1st grade (Tiger Cub Scouts) to age 18.
Got young kids? Want to get to know some fellow SMPC parents who are also going through the ups and downs of the "terrible twos," "three-nagers" and whatever they call four-year old challenges? Let's get together with our little bundles of joy and relax, play and get to know one another better.
