Our nursery is provided for ages 3 months through 3 years during the 10:10am worship service.

Where is the nursery located?
The baby/crawler nursery is at the end of the wing to the right as you enter the Palmer Building. The toddler/2s/3s are in Room 103 across the hall from them.
What are your COVID Protocols?

SMPC Tots
Got young kids? Want to get to know some fellow SMPC parents who are also going through the ups and downs of the "terrible twos," "three-nagers" and whatever they call four-year old challenges? Let's get together with our little bundles of joy and relax, play and get to know one another better.

SMPC Small Fries
The Small Fries meet-up group is for kids around age 4 to 7 and their families. This is a casual gathering to get to know some new folks.

Grandparent Camp
Grandparent camp is for children ages 5+ and their grandparents.
If you would like to stand in as a grandparent, or if you'd like to adopt a grandparent for camp, please contact Rebecca Guzman, Director of Spiritual Formation.

Scouting
SMPC is home to some of the strongest Scouting programs in North Carolina. Opportunities are available for young people of all ages, from kindergarten (Daisy Girl Scouts) or 1st grade (Tiger Cub Scouts) to age 18.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN
TO LEAD WORSHIP
Acolytes
Acolytes light the candles at the beginning of worship. At the end, they take them out. Ages 6 and up.

Liturgists
Ages 3rd-12th grades are invited to lead the congregation in the call to worship on the first Sunday of the month and the Prayer of Dedication on the second Sunday of the month.

Greeters
Parents who serve as greeters are encouraged to invite their children to greet with them.
Our Greeters are often the first point of contact for those attending our worship services and special events. Friendly faces are always welcome to serve!

Ushers
Parents who usher are welcomed and encouraged to mentor their children to usher along with them.
In addition, On the last Sunday of the month, youth and children 3rd grade and up are specifically are invited to collect the “Spoon it Up” offering to benefit the men’s shelter.
