The SMPC Weekday School is one of South Charlotte’s best preschool facilities designed and developed for maximum enjoyment and developmental fulfillment of all the students attending. The part-day program has operated since 1993 as a ministry of South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church.

At SMPC the tenured staff is composed of dedicated and experienced teachers with child development credentials, undergraduate and some postgraduate degrees. The staff stays on the cutting edge of preschool education with required annual continuing education, bi-annual CPR/First Aid training, and bi-monthly team building meetings.

Since play is the work of young children, we provide an environment that encourages active exploration of their world. Each child grows in independence, social skills, and the development of unique talents and abilities. Our goal is to be the bridge for your child's successful transition from your home to their elementary school. |
The SMPC Weekday School has earned the reputation of being a preschool of excellence and has in the past been referred to parents by local government agencies, Charlottemoms.com and local professionals.
All classrooms have a minimum of two teachers allowing a low child/teacher ratio.
