Music Program
SMPC Children's Cherub Choir We are thrilled to offer a music program for our Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Threes, Fours, and Kindergartners this fall. Each Sunday during the Sunday school hour (9:30-10:30), the children will participate in developmentally appropriate musical activities such as singing, chanting, moving, and playing instruments. They will also be leading the congregation during the 11:00 worship service with their music throughout the year. In addition, we will hold Music Workshops periodically. Elizabeth Boone is leading our Children's Music Ministry. Before staying home with her two boys, Will and Jay, Elizabeth taught elementary aged children in both the private and public setting here in Charlotte. She earned her Master's Degree in Education from UNC-Charlotte and is a registered Music Together teacher. Our Philosophy We believe that God gave us the gift of music and created all children to be musical; therefore, all children can develop the ability to sing and move in rhythm through playful musical experiences. Our Mission Our mission is to share the love of God and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with our children and their families through music. Join the Music Ministry Team There are many and varied ways you can assist Elizabeth and the children throughout the year. Please email Elizabeth at maddygirl23@carolina.rr.com or call her at 704-443-5205 (home), 704-517-7709 (cell) if you would like to help.
