The Center of Hope offers real hope and help to homeless women and chil
dren. Located at 534 Spratt Street near Uptown Charlotte, the facility has 224 beds and routinely operates at capacity- making it the largest women and children's homeless shelter in the Southeast. Many services are provided to the residents, including case management, medical care, Boys & Girls club, childcare, transportation, computer lab and children's library.
URGENT NEED!!! Sheets for the shelter--new and used. As of July the shelter is housing 350 women and children. The need is huge.

Collection of Supplies for Center of Hope
Begun by the Journey of Faith Circle, we coordinate a collection of supplies for the residents at the shelter. The following items are always needed and can be placed in the bins located in each of the buildings at SMPC:
| Baby Changing Tables | Small Baby Cribs, Sheets & Blankets | |
| Diapers (all sizes) | Baby Food & Formula | |
| Flat Irons | Toiletries (Shampoo, Soap, Deoderant) | |
| Feminine Products | Ironing Boards | |
| New Towels & Washcloths | New Twin-Size Sheets, Pillows, Pillow Cases, Blankets | |
Beginning in 2010, the shelter began housing a number of overflow residents. We began collecting sheets of all kind (new and used any size) and delivering them to Center of Hope. These additional residents have been sleeping on the floors in the hallways and dining rooms.
